The Shooting

At approximately 6:30 PM on Monday, a 35-year-old man was shot multiple times inside the Federal Deli Market on the corner of 20th and Federal Streets. The man was found by police officers lying on the ground outside of the deli after having been shot. He was transported by ambulance to Jefferson University Hospital but succumbed to his wounds and died shortly after arriving.

According to Chief Inspector Scott Small of the Philadelphia Police Department, an altercation between the victim and two women preceded the shooting.
