Upon arriving at the shooting scene, officers found 29-year-old Jonair Pollard suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body. The Dover man was rushed to a nearby hospital but tragically succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after.

Suspect Arrested Without Incident
Less than 24 hours later, members of the Dover Police Department’s Special Operations Response Team successfully took Mills into custody without further incident on Sunday. The circumstances and location of his apprehension were not disclosed by officials.
Mills is currently being held at a Dover correctional facility on $250,000 cash bail while facing charges of first-degree murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony in relation to Pollard’s shooting death.
